WWE Raw, World Wrestling Entertainment’s flagship and longest running program is coming live to the Capital One Arena!
WWE Raw (aka Monday Night Raw, sometimes stylized as RAW) is a professional wrestling and sports entertainment television program that’s currently broadcast live on Monday evenings at 8 PM EST on the USA Network. It made its debut on January 11 1993 and is now widely considered to be WWE’s flagship program due to its long history, high ratings, emphasis on pay-per-views, and the fact its shows are live every week. Since its debut, Raw has been broadcast live from 208 arenas in 171 cities in 12 nations. The countries that have hosted Raw include the United States, Canada, England, Scotland, Afghanistan, Iraq, South Africa, Germany, Japan, Italy, India, and Mexico. In 2012, to celebrate the show’s 1000th episode, Raw became a 3-hour broadcast instead of a 2-hour one (a format that was previously used for special episodes only). Raw episodes have had different themes throughout the show’s broadcast history. Some of the themes are yearly events (such as the Slammy Awards) while others include tributes to numerous professional wrestlers who have recently died or retired. Some episodes have commemorative themes and celebrate various show milestones or anniversaries. Besides the wrestlers, episodes also feature various other personalities such as ring announcers, commentators and on-screen authority figures.
Don’t miss your chance to experience the thrill of Monday Night Raw with its non-stop action, larger than life superstars, and moments that will leave you breathless!
