Depeche Mode, England’s sensational synth pop and new wave artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Capital One Arena!
The band was formed in Basildon (Essex) in 1980 by Dave Gahan (lead vocals), Martin Gore (keyboards, backing and lead vocals, guitars), Andy Fletcher (keyboards, backing vocals, bass guitar), and Vince Clarke (keyboards, lead and backing vocals, guitars). They’ve had a stellar career with 14 studio albums, 7 live albums, 10 compilation albums, 15 video albums, 70 music videos, 53 singles, and 8 box sets. All of their studio albums are top 10 hits in the UK, have spent over 210 weeks on the UK Charts, and the band’s sold over 100 million records worldwide. Their 8th studio album (Songs of Faith and Devotion) topped the charts in the UK and US simultaneously, making them one of only eleven British artists to do so (the others being The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Rod Stewart, Pink Floyd, John Lennon, Phil Collins, Radiohead, Coldplay, Susan Boyle and Adele). They’re one of the most influential bands of the last three decades many renowned artists (Marilyn Manson, No Doubt, Deftones, the Pet Shop Boys, The Killers, Coldplay, Lady Gaga, Muse, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, Nine Inch Nails, to name a few) cite Depeche Mode as their inspiration.
